How It Works
The CiFi SUN 54HL4R-BDB 445W solar panel converts sunlight into direct current electricity using N-type TOPCon mono-crystalline cells. These high efficiency cells sit between two sheets of tempered glass inside an anodized aluminium frame. When sunlight strikes the front surface, photons are absorbed by the N-type cells and free electrons are generated. This movement of electrons creates a DC current that flows through the internal busbars to the junction box. At the same time, the bifacial design allows the rear side to capture reflected and diffuse light from surfaces below the array. This rear side contribution increases overall energy yield compared with a similar monofacial module. The generated DC power exits through MC4 compatible connectors and 4 mm² cables and is then routed to a string inverter or hybrid inverter. The inverter converts the DC electricity into AC power suitable for household loads or export to the grid. Through this process the panel supports rooftop, ground mount, and carport systems where rear side illumination is available. Ongoing performance is supported by stable N-type technology and carefully controlled thermal characteristics.
N-type TOPCon cell operation: Each of the 108 N-type mono-crystalline cells is engineered to reduce recombination losses. The TOPCon structure improves carrier passivation, which maintains higher conversion efficiency and lowers degradation from light exposure.
Bifacial dual glass energy capture: The module features glass on both front and rear sides with an anti reflection coating on the front. Light reflecting from bright roofs, ground coverings, or nearby surfaces reaches the rear cells and adds extra generation, which helps reduce levelized cost of energy.
System integration and protection: Inside the IP68 junction box, current from the cell strings is combined and protected. From there, power flows through MC4 compatible connectors into the array wiring, while the 1500 volt rating and 30 amp fuse rating maintain safe operation in high voltage strings.
