The 6000XP (6kW, split-phase 120/240V) covers cabins, small homes, and RV-scale off-grid. The 12000XP doubles it for whole-home off-grid. The 18kPV is the flagship: 12kW continuous output, 18kW of PV input, grid-interactive with sell-back plus whole-home backup. All three run 48V battery banks and stack in parallel when you outgrow one unit.

EG4's own LiFePO4 line — the LL-S, LL-2, LifePower4, and PowerPro server-rack and wall-mount batteries — connect closed-loop over CAN for state-of-charge reporting and charge control. The inverters also run open-loop with essentially any 48V LiFePO4 or lead-acid bank. Closed-loop with matched EG4 batteries is the smoothest path.

The 18kPV is a true grid-interactive hybrid — it sells excess solar back, supports net metering where approved, and islands the house during outages. The 6000XP and 12000XP are off-grid inverter/chargers: they don't sell back, but accept generator or grid input as a charge source. Choose by whether you have (and want to use) a utility connection.

The 18kPV accepts up to 18kW of PV across three MPPTs — unusually generous headroom that lets you oversize the array for morning/evening production and battery charging. The 6000XP takes about 8kW of PV, the 12000XP around 12kW. Stay inside each MPPT's voltage and current windows on the spec sheet.

Batteries and inverters ship LTL freight — a server-rack battery runs 100+ lbs, and multi-battery orders ship palletized with curbside delivery. Small accessories ship parcel. EG4 backs its line with manufacturer warranties and US-based support out of Texas.
