How It Works
This solar panel converts sunlight into clean direct current electricity using high quality monocrystalline PERC cells. When photons strike the silicon cells, electrons are released and driven by the internal electric field. The resulting current flows through the interconnected 144 half cut cells and exits through the junction box. Your inverter then converts the direct current to alternating current suitable for household or commercial loads. The MQ Energy 390 panel is designed to operate efficiently across its rated temperature range, from minus 40 to plus 85 degrees Celsius. Power tolerance from zero to plus one percent helps ensure that real world output meets or slightly exceeds the nameplate rating. PERC monocrystalline cell operation: Each 156 by 78 millimetre PERC cell features a passivated rear surface that reflects unabsorbed light back into the silicon. This design increases the chance of photon absorption and improves conversion efficiency compared with standard cells.
Half cut cell and string layout: The 144 half cut cells are interconnected in strings to reduce resistive losses and improve shade tolerance. Lower current in each cell strip also reduces heat build up, supporting better performance under high irradiance.
