The Panasonic EVPV420HK2 converts sunlight into usable electricity using high efficiency N-type heterojunction cells. Each cell layers crystalline silicon with thin amorphous silicon films to reduce losses at the junction. When sunlight hits the cell surface, photons transfer energy to electrons, which then move through the internal electric field. This movement generates direct current power that flows through the panel’s busbars and wiring. Half cut cell architecture lowers resistive losses and improves shade tolerance across the module surface. The produced DC power is routed through MC4 connectors to string wiring and then delivered to a compatible inverter. The inverter converts the DC electricity into AC power for home loads or export to the grid. Throughout this process, the panel’s optimized temperature characteristics help maintain stable output in real world conditions.
Heterojunction cell architecture: HJT cells combine N-type crystalline silicon with amorphous layers to minimize electron recombination. This structure supports higher conversion efficiency, lower degradation and improved performance under varied temperatures and light levels.
Half cut layout and gapless connections: The module uses half cut cells wired in parallel strings to reduce current and resistive losses. Gapless connections expand the active area, enhancing light capture and boosting power output, especially when parts of the panel are lightly shaded.
