The SENEC SENEC 450 450W N-Type TOPCon Bifacial Solar Panel is engineered for high performance residential and commercial arrays. This advanced module uses N-type TOPCon half-cell technology to deliver up to 450 watts of rated power. Module efficiency reaches 22.5 percent under standard test conditions for excellent energy density on limited roof space. Bifacial construction captures light from the front and rear sides, which can significantly boost total energy yield. The panel operates within a wide temperature range from minus 40 to plus 85 degrees Celsius. A robust dual-glass build with tempered, anti-reflection coated glass on both sides improves durability in harsh climates. With a maximum system voltage of 1500 volts and a 30 amp reverse current rating, the module fits modern high power system designs. The SENEC 450 panel is produced by SENEC GmbH in Germany and is designed for long term reliability. High power density for limited space: Each SENEC 450 module provides 450 watts of peak power with 22.5 percent efficiency. This allows more power from fewer panels on roofs or constrained sites.
Bifacial energy gain: Bifacial design generates power from both the front and rear surfaces. Reflected light from bright surfaces can raise total yield beyond the front side rating.
Advanced N-type TOPCon cells: N-type TOPCon half-cells offer lower degradation and high efficiency. This technology helps maintain stronger performance across a wide range of operating conditions.
Robust dual-glass construction: Two 2 mm panes of tempered, anti-reflection glass protect the cells from hail, snow, and wind. The dual-glass structure also reduces moisture ingress for long term reliability.
Long-term performance assurance: A product warranty of 30 years is provided for the module. The linear performance warranty keeps at least 99 percent output in year one and 87.4 percent after 30 years.
Sunlight strikes the N-type TOPCon solar cells within the SENEC 450 module and is converted into direct current electricity. Half-cut cell architecture reduces electrical losses and improves shade tolerance across the module surface. The bifacial structure allows the rear side of the panel to absorb reflected light from the roof, ground, or nearby surfaces. This additional irradiation boosts output beyond the front side standard test power in many installations. At standard test conditions, the module delivers 450 watts at a voltage of 33.91 volts and a current of 13.27 amps. Under more realistic operating temperatures around the NMOT value of 42 degrees, power remains high at 339 watts. Integrated bypass diodes in the IP68 junction box help limit power loss from partial shading. Current flows through MC4 compatible connectors to the system wiring, then to an inverter that converts DC power to AC electricity. The inverter synchronizes with the site electrical system, supplying clean energy and offsetting grid consumption. Over time, the low annual degradation rate of about 0.42 percent helps preserve output and system savings.
Front-side light conversion: The front glass features an anti-reflection coating that increases light transmission to the cells. Incoming photons are absorbed by N-type TOPCon cells and generate charge carriers. These carriers are collected and directed through the cell grid to create a steady DC current.
Rear-side bifacial gain: Transparent rear glass lets the cells capture light reflected from the mounting surface. Installations over bright ground or white roofs can benefit from substantial extra energy. This bifacial gain is especially valuable in commercial and ground mount systems with good albedo.
Reliable power delivery and protection: Three integrated bypass diodes limit hot spots when parts of the module are shaded. The IP68 junction box protects connections from dust and water ingress. MC4-Evo2A connectors ensure secure coupling to string wiring and compatible inverters.
