With up to 20.65% front-side efficiency, strong glass construction, and a robust frame, it delivers reliable power density. The SolarSpace SS8-72HD-535M converts sunlight into electricity using high-efficiency monocrystalline PERC cells. When light strikes the front glass, photons are absorbed by the silicon cells and release electrons. This process creates direct current which flows through the module’s internal busbars and external cables. Because the panel is bifacial, rear-side cells also capture reflected and diffuse light. That additional light contributes extra current and raises overall energy output, especially on reflective ground. The module connects into strings at up to 1500V DC and feeds a compatible inverter. The inverter then converts DC power into AC electricity for homes, businesses, or the grid.
PERC monocrystalline cell operation: Each M10 monocrystalline cell uses PERC technology to capture more of the solar spectrum. A passivated rear surface reflects unabsorbed light back through the cell and improves efficiency. Multi-busbar layouts reduce resistance losses and help maintain strong current flow.
Half-cut, bifacial architecture: The 144 cells are cut into halves to reduce electrical losses and improve shade tolerance. Bifacial design allows both front and rear surfaces to participate in energy generation, boosting yield on suitable surfaces and tracking structures.
System integration and protection: The module operates within a -40°C to +85°C range and has integrated bypass diodes in the junction box. These diodes limit hot-spot risk under partial shading and maintain safer operation. The panel is wired in series and parallel configurations to match inverter input windows and desired string currents.
