The SolarSpace SS8-72HD-540M panel converts sunlight into usable DC electricity through high efficiency mono PERC cells. Each of the 144 half-cut M10 cells is wired into optimized strings to control current and minimize resistive losses. Under standard test conditions, the module delivers a maximum power of 540 watts with a voltage at maximum power of 41.65 volts and a current at maximum power of 12.97 amps. When irradiance drops to 800 watts per square meter, the same module provides 408 watts with adjusted voltage and current values. The 1500V DC system rating allows long strings, which simplifies array design and can reduce balance of system costs. Temperature coefficients are carefully controlled to limit performance losses as cell temperature rises during hot weather operation.
Mono PERC cell conversion: Light is absorbed by monocrystalline PERC cells, where electrons are released and driven by the internal electric field. The passivated rear surface reflects unabsorbed photons back into the cell, which increases the probability of conversion.
