The SolarSpace SS8-72HD-545M solar panel converts sunlight into usable DC electricity using high-efficiency mono PERC cells. When light strikes the 144 half-cut M10 cells, photons are absorbed and free electrons are created. These electrons move through the cell structure and busbars, forming an electric current. Half-cell design reduces resistive losses, so more of the captured energy becomes power at the terminals. The module is optimized around a maximum power voltage of about 41.81 volts under standard test conditions. When wired into strings, panels feed a compatible inverter that converts DC power into AC power. This AC energy can be consumed on-site or exported to the grid, depending on system design and interconnection rules.
Mono PERC Cell Conversion: Each monocrystalline PERC cell uses a passivated rear surface to reflect unabsorbed light back through the silicon. This process gives photons a second chance to be converted into electricity, improving cell efficiency.
