The SPOT S-235-60-1 235W polycrystalline solar panel delivers reliable power for residential and commercial systems. This module forms part of a 230–250 Wp family designed by Solar Power Technology Co., Ltd. in Thailand. A robust anodized aluminum frame, tempered glass, and EVA encapsulation are combined to protect the 60 multicrystalline cells in harsh outdoor conditions. With a panel efficiency of 14.44 percent at 235 Wp, the module efficiently converts sunlight into usable energy while keeping system design flexible. It is suitable for grid tied arrays or stand alone systems that use batteries, inverters, and charge controllers. The module’s 1000 V system voltage rating, 20 A series fuse rating, and weather resistant junction box support safe integration with modern balance of system hardware. This panel offers a dependable, cost effective choice when long term performance and straightforward installation are important.

The SPOT S-235-60-1 solar panel converts sunlight into direct current electricity using 60 polycrystalline silicon cells. When sunlight hits the cell surface, the photovoltaic effect generates a flow of electrons and creates DC power at the module terminals. Under standard test conditions, the panel delivers a maximum power of 235 watts at a voltage of 29.6 volts and a current of 7.94 amps. The panel can be wired in series or parallel with other modules in the SPOT S-230-60-1 to S-250-60-1 range to reach the required system voltage and current. Power from the module is routed through the junction box and PV cables to a charge controller, inverter, or battery bank, depending on the system architecture. In grid tied systems, an inverter converts DC into AC power synchronized with the utility grid, allowing on site consumption or export. In stand alone systems, a charge controller manages battery charging while protecting the batteries from overcharge and deep discharge.
Photovoltaic energy generation: Each multicrystalline cell absorbs sunlight and frees electrons within the silicon structure. The cells are wired in series to raise voltage while the panel’s internal layout is optimized to minimize resistive losses. At open circuit, the module provides 36.9 volts, while the short circuit current reaches 8.55 amps under STC conditions.
Module protection and bypass diodes: The strings of cells are encapsulated between EVA layers, tempered glass, and a composite backsheet to keep moisture out and ensure electrical isolation. A weather resistant junction box houses three bypass diodes that help current flow around shaded cell strings. This design reduces hot spot risk and preserves energy production when part of the panel is shaded.
Integration with system components: Factory fitted PV cables with 4 mm² cross section and 750 mm length provide straightforward connection to combiner boxes or inverters. In grid connected systems, strings of modules feed a solar inverter that synchronizes with the utility grid. In off grid or hybrid setups, the panel pairs with a charge controller, inverter, and battery bank to provide reliable power for homes, telecommunications, water pumping, security lighting, and other loads.
