How It Works

The Cummins OTEC 600 Amp NSE Automatic Transfer Switch continuously monitors utility voltage and frequency. When an outage occurs, the system automatically signals the generator to start. Once the generator power stabilizes, the switch transfers the electrical load seamlessly. This process ensures uninterrupted power for critical infrastructure without manual intervention. The system returns the load to the utility source once stable power is restored. This open-transition mechanism prevents source-to-source connections for maximum safety. The microprocessor controller manages all timing and switching logic with high precision.

Utility Monitoring: The controller constantly senses voltage and frequency on both utility and generator sources. It detects any deviations or failures in the primary power supply immediately.

Generator Start Signal: Upon detecting a utility failure, the switch sends a signal to启动 the standby generator set. This ensures the generator reaches operational speed before power transfer.

Load Transfer & Return: The bidirectional linear actuator moves the contacts to connect the load to the generator. Once utility power stabilizes, the load returns automatically to the primary source.

This is the first stage of my three planned purches. I got the eg4 inverter 6000 XP base kit with six 400 watt panels and the two server rack batteries. Did a little online research and followed the instructions and it got set up without any issues. Right now I'm just running it in my garage on a single outlet and have been running dual 750 watt water distillers with it. Once I get the second inverter and a bunch more panels and batteries, I plan on attaching it to my subpanel in my house that has my lights and outlets and appliances on it. Then I'll get a soft start for my AC and blower and run it on my main panel.
