The X10 cabinet ships as a complete kit — combining the EVHB-I7 hybrid inverter, two EV-B5 lithium iron phosphate battery modules, an EV-BMS battery management unit, base, and wall-mount accessory kit — ready for indoor or outdoor installation in a single NEMA 4X enclosure rated from –13°F to 140°F. The EVHB-I7-X10 operates as a fully integrated DC-coupled hybrid system. DC power from the connected PV array enters the EVHB-I7 inverter across three independent MPPT inputs, where it is simultaneously converted to AC for on-site consumption and used to charge the EV-B5 LFP battery modules via the DC bus — maximizing round-trip efficiency at up to 94% DC-coupled. The EV-BMS battery management unit continuously monitors cell-level voltage, temperature, and state of charge across both battery modules, managing charge/discharge rates, balancing, and protection. During grid outages, the inverter automatically transitions to backup mode, drawing from the battery to maintain critical loads at up to 7.6 kW with active PV or 5.5 kW without, with a seamless transfer that protects connected equipment.

Upon grid outage detection, the inverter automatically forms a local microgrid and transitions to backup mode — maintaining backup output at 5.5 kW without PV or 7.6 kW with active solar generation — while the AC coupling input allows integration of an existing grid-tied PV inverter into the backup circuit, preserving the value of prior solar investments within the EVERVOLT system architecture.
