The Cummins OTEC Automatic Transfer Switch continuously monitors both primary utility power and standby generator voltage. When utility power fails or drops below a set threshold, the controller signals the generator to start. Once the generator reaches stable operating voltage, the switch automatically transfers the electrical load. This open-transition process ensures a break-before-make sequence, completely disconnecting the load from both sources briefly. This prevents dangerous source-to-source connections. After utility power stabilizes, the switch returns the load to the primary source. The microprocessor controller manages timing, voltage imbalance sensing, and phase rotation detection. LED displays provide real-time status updates for operators. Manual operation handles are available for deenergized conditions if needed.

Power Monitoring: The integrated controller constantly evaluates both power sources for voltage stability and frequency. It detects failures instantly and triggers generator startup signals automatically.

This is the first stage of my three planned purches. I got the eg4 inverter 6000 XP base kit with six 400 watt panels and the two server rack batteries. Did a little online research and followed the instructions and it got set up without any issues. Right now I'm just running it in my garage on a single outlet and have been running dual 750 watt water distillers with it. Once I get the second inverter and a bunch more panels and batteries, I plan on attaching it to my subpanel in my house that has my lights and outlets and appliances on it. Then I'll get a soft start for my AC and blower and run it on my main panel.
