The Cummins OTEC transfer switch continuously monitors primary utility power and standby generator sets. When utility power is interrupted, the controller signals the generator to start immediately. Once the generator reaches stable operating parameters, the switch automatically transfers the electrical load to the generator source. This ensures uninterrupted power for critical systems during outages. The system then monitors the utility source for stability restoration. Upon detecting stable utility power, the switch retransfers the load back to the primary source automatically. The entire process operates without manual intervention, providing seamless backup power management. Electrically operated mechanisms with mechanical holding ensure reliable positioning in Source 1 or Source 2 positions. Break-before-make action prevents inadvertent interconnection between power sources.

Automatic Monitoring: The controller continuously evaluates both power sources for voltage and frequency stability. It triggers generator startup signals when utility power drops below acceptable thresholds.

Load Transfer Sequence: The bi-directional linear actuator moves contacts to disconnect from utility and connect to generator. Programmed transition timing ensures complete load disconnection before reconnection.

This is the first stage of my three planned purches. I got the eg4 inverter 6000 XP base kit with six 400 watt panels and the two server rack batteries. Did a little online research and followed the instructions and it got set up without any issues. Right now I'm just running it in my garage on a single outlet and have been running dual 750 watt water distillers with it. Once I get the second inverter and a bunch more panels and batteries, I plan on attaching it to my subpanel in my house that has my lights and outlets and appliances on it. Then I'll get a soft start for my AC and blower and run it on my main panel.
