The Cummins RA 200 Amp SE (Service Entrance) 240V 1-Phase Automatic Transfer Switch (A064G549 / RA212S3) ensures seamless transfer of electrical loads between utility power and a backup generator. With a 200-amp, 2-pole design for 120/240V single-phase installations, it is well suited for residential and light commercial applications that require reliable, continuous power. The service entrance rating allows utility and load switching to be handled in a single unit, simplifying installation while meeting electrical safety requirements.

This transfer switch continuously monitors utility power. When it detects an outage or unsatisfactory voltage, it signals the generator to start and automatically transfers the load once the generator is ready. When stable utility power returns, the switch automatically shifts the load back — all without homeowner intervention. The switch uses a break-before-make mechanism along with electrical and mechanical interlocks to ensure utility and generator power are never connected simultaneously.

This is the first stage of my three planned purches. I got the eg4 inverter 6000 XP base kit with six 400 watt panels and the two server rack batteries. Did a little online research and followed the instructions and it got set up without any issues. Right now I'm just running it in my garage on a single outlet and have been running dual 750 watt water distillers with it. Once I get the second inverter and a bunch more panels and batteries, I plan on attaching it to my subpanel in my house that has my lights and outlets and appliances on it. Then I'll get a soft start for my AC and blower and run it on my main panel.
