A075F126 | Microprocessor Control | 4-Pole Switched Neutral | Indoor NEMA 1 | 480V System Voltage
The Cummins OTEC 125 Amp NSE (Non-Service Entrance) 480V 3-phase Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is engineered for demanding commercial and industrial backup power needs. This robust unit ensures seamless power transfer between utility lines and generator sets during unexpected outages. Its 125 Amp capacity supports critical systems in high-demand environments without interruption. The 480V 3-phase configuration enables balanced energy distribution across complex electrical loads. Businesses rely on this switch for reliable operation in emergency, legally required, or optional standby applications. The NSE rating allows flexible installation configurations that do not require service entrance certification. PowerCommand 40 microprocessor control provides precise monitoring and automated response to power fluctuations. Heavy-duty silver alloy contacts ensure long-term durability in harsh operating conditions. UL 1008 listing and NEC compliance guarantee safety standards are met for professional installations.
Seamless Power Transfer: Automatic switching between utility and generator power ensures uninterrupted service for critical systems during outages.
High Capacity Support: The 125 Amp rating handles substantial commercial and industrial loads efficiently without performance degradation.
Balanced Distribution: 480V 3-phase design optimizes load balancing for stable power delivery across three-phase installations.
Flexible Installation: Non-Service Entrance rating allows versatile mounting options in various commercial and industrial facility layouts.
Safety Compliance: UL 1008 listed and NEC compliant design meets rigorous safety standards for reliable long-term operation.
This Automatic Transfer Switch continuously monitors both utility power and generator output to detect any power quality issues. When a utility outage occurs, the microprocessor controller signals the generator to start automatically. The system then waits for the generator to reach stable voltage and frequency before initiating the transfer sequence. Once stable backup power is confirmed, the switch opens the utility connection and closes the generator connection in an open transition mode. This break-before-make process prevents dangerous backfeeding or power surges. After utility power returns and stabilizes, the switch automatically retransfers the load back to the primary source. The controller then allows the generator to run through a cooling cycle before shutting down. This entire process happens without human intervention, ensuring critical loads remain powered seamlessly.
Power Monitoring: The PowerCommand 40 microprocessor constantly evaluates voltage, frequency, and phase rotation on both power sources.
Generator Start Signal: Upon detecting utility failure, the controller sends an automatic start signal to the connected Cummins backup generator.
Open Transition Transfer: The breaker opens the utility connection before closing the generator connection, preventing simultaneous power source contact.
