A075N276 | Open Transition | 225 Amps | Service Entrance | 240V System Voltage
The Cummins OTEC 225 Amp SE 240V 1-phase Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) delivers reliable backup power for large homes and businesses. This robust unit ensures uninterrupted energy flow during grid failures or utility disruptions. With a high 225 Amp capacity, it supports heavy electrical loads without performance degradation. The Service Entrance (SE) rating simplifies installation by combining utility and load switching in one device. This design meets strict electrical safety standards for service entrance applications. It seamlessly transfers power from utility lines to backup generators automatically. Critical systems remain operational even when the main grid fails unexpectedly. The single-phase configuration ensures efficient power distribution for standard residential and light commercial setups.
High Capacity Power: The 225 Amp rating supports high-demand residential and commercial electrical loads effectively.
Seamless Transfer: Automatic functionality ensures power switches instantly during outages to prevent system downtime.
Service Entrance Ready: SE-rated design combines utility and load switching, simplifying complex electrical installations.
Safety Certified: UL 1008 listed and NEC compliant for guaranteed safety and regulatory compliance.
Generator Integration: Designed for easy integration with Cummins backup generator systems for optimal performance.
This automatic transfer switch continuously monitors both utility power and generator output sources. When the utility grid fails, the controller signals the generator to start immediately. Once the generator reaches stable voltage, the switch transfers the electrical load to it. This process happens automatically without any manual intervention from the user. The system ensures critical circuits receive power within seconds of a grid outage. When utility power returns and stabilizes, the switch automatically retransfers the load back. The generator then shuts down after a cool-down period to conserve fuel and extend life.
Grid Failure Detection: The microprocessor controller senses voltage drops or phase loss on the utility line instantly.
Generator Startup Signal: Upon detecting a failure, the ATS sends a start signal to the connected backup generator.
Load Transfer Logic: Once generator voltage is stable, the switch opens the utility contact and closes the generator contact.
