How It Works
The Prostar PR405W-36MH converts sunlight into usable electricity through the photovoltaic effect. Sunlight photons strike the monocrystalline silicon cells within the panel surface. This energy excites electrons within the silicon atoms to create a flow of electric current. The internal circuitry captures this current and directs it to the external junction box. The electricity then flows through MC4 connectors to charge batteries or power grid-tied inverters. This process happens silently and continuously as long as sunlight is available. The panel maintains efficiency even under partial shade due to its advanced cell design.
Photon Absorption: 144 monocrystalline cells absorb sunlight photons to generate electron movement. The high-quality silicon material ensures minimal energy loss during this initial conversion step.
