Mission Solar Panels

Mission Solar Panels — Texas-Made, BABA Compliant

About Mission Solar Energy

Mission Solar Energy operates a manufacturing facility in San Antonio, Texas, where they produce high-quality monocrystalline solar panels for the U.S. market. The company has invested significantly in American manufacturing capacity, creating jobs and producing panels that meet the strictest domestic content requirements for federal projects. Unlike manufacturers who merely assemble panels in the U.S. using imported cells, Mission Solar maintains significant domestic content in their production process.

Mission Solar's commitment to American manufacturing has made them a preferred supplier for government projects, military installations, and federally funded infrastructure projects that require BABA compliance. Their panels are listed on the California Energy Commission (CEC) database and carry all necessary certifications for U.S. installations.

BABA Compliant for Federal Projects

The Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) requires that manufactured products used in federally funded infrastructure projects contain significant domestic content. For solar projects, this means panels, inverters, and racking must meet domestic content thresholds to qualify for the 10% domestic content bonus under the Inflation Reduction Act.

Mission Solar panels are produced in Texas with substantial domestic content, making them among the most BABA-compliant panels available. For project developers seeking the 10% bonus tax credit, Mission Solar provides the necessary documentation including certificates of origin, domestic content affidavits, and bills of materials. Portlandia Electric Supply maintains these documents on file and provides them with every Mission Solar order.

All-Black Aesthetic Options

Mission Solar offers all-black panel options that provide a sleek, uniform appearance ideal for residential installations and projects where aesthetics matter. The all-black design features black cells, black backsheet, and black frame, creating a cohesive look that blends with dark roofing materials. Despite the aesthetic focus, Mission Solar panels maintain strong efficiency ratings and performance characteristics comparable to premium imported panels.

25-Year Warranty

Mission Solar backs their panels with a comprehensive 25-year performance warranty guaranteeing at least 80% of original rated output after 25 years. The product warranty covers material and workmanship defects for 12 years. As an authorized Mission Solar dealer, Portlandia Electric Supply handles warranty registration and claims, providing the same support you'd expect from any major manufacturer — but with the added benefit of domestic production and faster resolution.
