How It Works
This solar panel converts sunlight into electricity through the photovoltaic effect using monocrystalline silicon cells. The PERC layer on the back of the cell reflects unabsorbed light to increase energy capture. Half-cut cell technology divides each cell to lower internal resistance and reduce power loss. The anti-reflective coating on the tempered glass ensures maximum light enters the solar cells. Electrical current flows through the busbars to the junction box for connection to the system. The panel operates efficiently across a wide temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
Photovoltaic Conversion: Sunlight hits the silicon cells, releasing electrons that generate direct current electricity. This process happens instantly when light photons strike the semiconductor material.
PERC Enhancement: The Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell layer reflects light back into the cell for a second absorption attempt. This significantly boosts efficiency compared to standard monocrystalline panels.
Half-Cut Efficiency: Splitting cells into two halves reduces the current flowing through each half, lowering resistive losses. This design also improves performance when part of the panel is shaded.
