How It Works

Sunlight hits the high efficiency monocrystalline IBC cells and is converted directly into electrical energy. Because the FSC 400 IBC panel uses back contact technology, electrical pathways are moved behind the cells, keeping the active front surface as clear as possible. This design reduces shading from metal busbars and increases the area that can capture light. The module produces direct current power at a maximum of 400 Wp under standard test conditions. This DC power flows through the IP68 junction box and connectors to an external inverter or charge controller. The inverter converts the power into usable alternating current for homes, businesses or charging applications. Optimized voltage and current values allow the panel to be strung with other 1500 V rated modules, supporting efficient array design and reduced balance of system costs.

High efficiency IBC cell conversion: Each monocrystalline cell uses interdigitated back contacts to separate collection and transport of charge carriers. With busbars placed on the rear surface, more of the front area remains active, so a greater portion of incoming light is turned into electrical power. This results in higher module efficiency compared with conventional front contact cells.

Optimized electrical output and stringing: At maximum power, the panel delivers 36.1 V and 11.09 A, which is well suited to modern string inverters. Open circuit voltage reaches 42.1 V, enabling flexible string design inside 1500 V systems. These parameters allow installers to design arrays with suitable safety margins while keeping cable and mounting costs under control.

Thermal behavior and real world yield: The temperature coefficient of Pmax is -0.290% per degree Celsius, which limits output losses when cells heat up in strong sun. Voltage and current coefficients are also optimized, so the module continues to perform consistently across seasonal temperature swings. Combined with a low annual degradation rate of 0.28%, this supports strong and predictable energy yields over the lifetime of the installation.

This is the first stage of my three planned purches. I got the eg4 inverter 6000 XP base kit with six 400 watt panels and the two server rack batteries. Did a little online research and followed the instructions and it got set up without any issues. Right now I'm just running it in my garage on a single outlet and have been running dual 750 watt water distillers with it. Once I get the second inverter and a bunch more panels and batteries, I plan on attaching it to my subpanel in my house that has my lights and outlets and appliances on it. Then I'll get a soft start for my AC and blower and run it on my main panel.
