How It Works
The Greensun Solar GSM400-72 panel converts sunlight into electricity through the photovoltaic effect. When photons strike the monocrystalline silicon cells, they excite electrons to create a flow of electric current. PERC technology enhances this process by capturing more light energy at the rear side of the cell. This design reduces energy loss and increases the overall power output significantly. The generated direct current is then sent to an inverter for conversion into usable alternating current. This alternating current powers household appliances or feeds back into the main electrical grid efficiently. The system operates silently and requires minimal maintenance for decades of reliable service.
Photon Absorption: Sunlight photons hit the 156x156 mm silicon cells and release electrons to start current flow. This initial step triggers the entire energy conversion process within the panel.
PERC Enhancement: The rear passivation layer captures light that passes through the cell to generate extra power. This unique feature boosts the efficiency rating to 22.1% compared to standard panels.
