How It Works
The JAM144S-550 solar panel converts sunlight into electricity through the photovoltaic effect using monocrystalline silicon cells. Sunlight photons strike the cells and release electrons, creating a direct current that flows through the internal circuit. The half-cut cell design splits each standard cell into two, which reduces the path length for electrons and lowers electrical resistance. This technology significantly improves efficiency and reduces power loss caused by heat or shading. The panel also features a robust junction box with three diodes to prevent reverse current flow and protect the system during low light. Its anodized aluminum frame ensures structural integrity while the tempered glass protects the delicate cells from physical damage.
