How It Works
The JSUN 550 Monocrystalline Solar Panel converts sunlight into electricity through the photovoltaic effect. When photons strike the monocrystalline silicon cells, they excite electrons to create an electric current. The 144 half-cut cells are connected in series strings to optimize voltage and current output. This design reduces resistive losses and improves overall efficiency compared to traditional full-cell modules. The panel's advanced PERC technology enhances light absorption, especially in low-light conditions. The tempered glass front protects the cells while allowing maximum light transmission. The anodized aluminum frame provides structural integrity and prevents corrosion over decades of operation.
Photon Absorption: Sunlight photons penetrate the tempered glass and strike the monocrystalline silicon cells. This energy excites electrons within the semiconductor material.
Electron Flow: The excited electrons flow through the cell's internal circuit, creating a direct current. This current is collected by the busbars and transmitted to the junction box.
Power Conversion: The DC electricity exits through the MC4 connectors and enters the inverter. The inverter converts DC to AC for household or commercial use.
