How It Works
The Photon Energy Systems PM0285 solar panel converts sunlight into usable electricity through the photovoltaic effect. When solar photons strike the 72 multi-crystalline silicon cells, they excite electrons to create a flow of electric current. This direct current is then collected by the conductive busbars and routed through the junction box for external connection. The panel's design minimizes energy loss through advanced cell sorting and high fill factor technology. EVA encapsulant protects the cells while tempered glass provides structural strength against environmental stress. The anodized aluminum frame ensures the module remains stable under high wind or snow loads up to 5400 Pa.
Photovoltaic Conversion: Sunlight photons excite electrons in the silicon cells to generate direct current electricity. This process creates a continuous flow of energy whenever sunlight is available.
Current Collection: Conductive busbars collect the generated electrons from each cell efficiently. The current is then routed through the junction box with three internal diodes for safety.
