The REC REC600AA Pro MG 600W HJT bifacial solar panel is engineered for commercial and industrial projects that demand maximum energy output from every square meter. This high performance module uses advanced heterojunction cell technology and a bifacial glass glass construction. Energy is harvested efficiently from both the front and rear sides of the panel. With an impressive module efficiency of 21.1 percent, this REC solar panel supports high power density on space constrained roofs and ground mount systems.
The panel is built around 120 half cut monocrystalline cells and operates at a maximum power of 600 watt peak under STC conditions. A robust design is combined with a maximum system voltage of 1500 volts and a 35 amp series fuse rating. This allows flexible string design for larger arrays while maintaining safety margins. The double glass laminate, anodized aluminum frame, and IP68 junction box help ensure long term reliability in harsh climates. How It Works
The REC REC600AA Pro MG solar panel converts sunlight into electricity using its 120 half cut heterojunction cells. Each cell uses a high purity monocrystalline silicon wafer combined with thin amorphous silicon layers. When sunlight hits the front or rear glass surfaces, photons are absorbed and charge carriers are generated inside the cells. These charges are guided through fine metal contacts, creating direct current power that feeds your solar inverter. The bifacial architecture allows production from both sides of the module, which increases total energy yield over the year.
Half cut cell design reduces resistive losses and supports operation at higher currents with improved shade tolerance. The panel operates at a maximum power point of 36 volts and 16.67 amps under standard test conditions. This output is routed through an IP68 junction box with three bypass diodes, which help minimize power loss during partial shading. The module connects into a string with other panels and then links to a compatible string inverter or central inverter. The 1500 volt system rating offers flexible string lengths for efficient array layouts.
Bifacial glass glass architecture: The module uses 2 millimeter tempered solar glass on both front and rear surfaces. Light entering from the front is directly converted, while reflected light from the ground or roof is used on the rear side. This design can increase energy output without expanding array footprint.
Heterojunction cell operation: Each cell combines crystalline silicon with thin amorphous silicon layers that passivate the surface. Recombination losses are reduced and open circuit voltage is enhanced. The low temperature coefficients help maintain a higher power level during hot summer conditions.
System integration and protection: The panel connects through 4 square millimeter solar cables and certified PV connectors. Three bypass diodes in the junction box limit the impact of shaded cell strings. The 35 amp series fuse rating and 1500 volt limit support safe integration with modern high voltage inverters.
