    The REC REC610AA Pro MG 610W HJT bifacial monocrystalline solar panel is engineered to deliver high output and long term reliability for commercial and industrial projects. With advanced heterojunction technology and a bifacial design, this module harnesses light from both sides to increase energy yield per square metre. It operates at a maximum power of 610 Wp with an impressive module efficiency of 21.5 percent, making it ideal for space constrained rooftops and high performance ground mounts. The panel belongs to the REC Alpha Pro MG series and offers a power range from 590 Wp to 640 Wp across the family. Built with 120 half cut monocrystalline cells and dual 2 mm glass, it combines durability with excellent thermal behaviour. Designed and manufactured in Singapore by REC Solar Pte.     How It Works

    This REC Alpha Pro MG panel converts sunlight into electricity using advanced bifacial heterojunction cells. Each half cut monocrystalline cell features thin amorphous silicon layers that reduce recombination losses. When sunlight hits the front glass, photons generate charge carriers inside the cell structure and direct current flows through the interconnected busbars. The rear side of the module remains active and collects additional light reflected from the roof or ground surface. This rear side contribution raises the effective output beyond that of a standard monofacial module. Electrical energy travels through the three diode junction box and exits via MC compatible connectors. Strings of modules are then wired in series and combined to match the input window of a grid tied or hybrid inverter. The inverter converts the direct current into alternating current and feeds building loads or the grid. Throughout this process, low temperature coefficients and optimized operating voltage help maintain stable production.

    Bifacial HJT cell operation: Heterojunction cells combine monocrystalline wafers with thin amorphous layers on both sides. This structure is highly passivated and reduces energy losses at the cell surface. Because both front and rear surfaces are active, the panel can respond to direct and reflected light. This boosts real world yields compared with traditional mono PERC designs.

    Half cut cell and string layout: Each full cell is split into two half cells to reduce resistive losses and improve shade tolerance. The panel uses 120 half cut cells arranged in optimized strings with three bypass diodes. This configuration helps maintain production if part of the module is shaded or soiled, keeping more of the array online.

    System integration and voltage: The module is rated for 1500 V systems, allowing longer strings and lower balance of system costs. With a maximum power voltage of 36.3 V and current of 16.81 A, it pairs well with modern string inverters. Correct string sizing within inverter voltage windows ensures efficient operation and helps minimize clipping losses.
