How It Works
The Sail Solar SAS455M-144H panel converts sunlight into electricity through its 144 monocrystalline PERC cells. Sunlight photons strike the silicon cells, releasing electrons to generate direct current (DC) electricity. The PERC layer enhances light absorption by capturing photons that pass through the cell. This process maximizes energy conversion even under low-light or partial shade conditions. The half-cut cell design reduces internal resistance and improves overall module efficiency. The junction box then channels the generated power safely to the inverter for grid use.
Photon Absorption: Sunlight photons hit the silicon cells, exciting electrons to create an electric flow. The PERC layer captures additional light to boost efficiency.
Current Generation: Excited electrons move through the cell to generate DC electricity. The half-cut design minimizes resistance for stable power output.
Power Conduction: The IP68 junction box collects current from all cells safely. MC4 connectors then transfer power to the inverter for grid conversion.
