How It Works
The Sail Solar SAS470M-144H converts sunlight into electricity using advanced photovoltaic principles. Sunlight photons strike the 144 monocrystalline silicon cells, exciting electrons within the semiconductor material. The PERC technology creates a rear passivation layer that reduces electron recombination and increases overall efficiency. Half-cut cell design minimizes resistive losses by splitting each cell into two parallel segments. This configuration allows the panel to maintain power output even if part of the surface is shaded. The electrical current flows through the MC4 connectors to the inverter for conversion into usable AC power. The system operates safely up to 1500V DC maximum system voltage for efficient grid integration.
Photon Absorption: Sunlight photons penetrate the tempered glass and strike silicon cells to release electrons. This process generates direct current electricity through the photovoltaic effect.
