How It Works
The Set Solar SETM120-370 solar panel converts sunlight into usable electricity through its 144 high-efficiency PERC half-cells. Each cell absorbs photons from sunlight, exciting electrons to create an electric current. The PERC technology adds a passivation layer on the rear side to reduce electron loss and increase efficiency. This design allows the panel to capture more light even in low-light conditions or partial shading. The anti-reflection glass coating minimizes light reflection, ensuring maximum photon absorption. The anodized aluminum frame protects internal components from environmental stress while providing structural support. The junction box with protective features ensures safe connection to the electrical system. This monocrystalline panel works seamlessly with inverters in both grid-tied and off-grid solar installations.
Photon Absorption: Sunlight photons strike the monocrystalline silicon cells, exciting electrons to generate direct current electricity. The PERC layer enhances this process by reducing electron recombination.
