How It Works

The S5-GC60K-LV-US accepts DC power from up to 16 PV strings across 8 independent MPPT inputs, converts it to clean three-phase AC power at 208V or 240VAC, and feeds it directly to the commercial grid. Its transformerless topology minimizes energy losses while its integrated protection suite ensures operational safety at every stage.

8-Channel MPPT Tracking: Each MPPT independently optimizes the power point of its assigned strings, reducing losses from mismatch, partial shading, or varying module orientations across large commercial arrays.

Transformerless Power Conversion: The lightweight, high-efficiency transformerless design achieves up to 98.5% peak efficiency and a CEC efficiency of 98.1%, minimizing heat generation and reducing balance-of-system costs.

Integrated Safety & Communications: Onboard AFCI, rapid shutdown, ground fault monitoring, anti-islanding, and surge protection (DC Type II / AC Type II) work in concert with RS485 and optional cellular/Wi-Fi communications for real-time oversight.

EG4 off-grid base kit, Happy with my purchase.

This is the first stage of my three planned purches. I got the eg4 inverter 6000 XP base kit with six 400 watt panels and the two server rack batteries. Did a little online research and followed the instructions and it got set up without any issues. Right now I'm just running it in my garage on a single outlet and have been running dual 750 watt water distillers with it. Once I get the second inverter and a bunch more panels and batteries, I plan on attaching it to my subpanel in my house that has my lights and outlets and appliances on it. Then I'll get a soft start for my AC and blower and run it on my main panel.
