How It Works

This Sun Earth East Solar 460W monocrystalline solar panel converts sunlight into clean DC electricity using advanced silicon cells. Each panel contains 120 half-cut monocrystalline cells arranged for efficient photon capture. When sunlight hits the cells, electrons are released and driven by an internal electric field, creating direct current. The PERC cell structure increases light absorption and improves performance in low and diffuse light. The generated DC power flows through the integrated 4 mm² cables and IP68 junction box. From there it is delivered to string inverters, hybrid inverters, or charge controllers, depending on system design. In grid-tied systems, inverters convert the DC power into AC electricity that matches grid voltage and frequency. This AC energy can power local loads first, with any surplus exported to the grid if regulations permit. In off-grid or backup systems, the DC output is routed to batteries through a charge controller for storage. Throughout operation, the panel’s low temperature coefficients help stabilize output as module temperature rises. Over decades of use, controlled degradation preserves most of the original power rating for dependable long-term production.

This is the first stage of my three planned purches. I got the eg4 inverter 6000 XP base kit with six 400 watt panels and the two server rack batteries. Did a little online research and followed the instructions and it got set up without any issues. Right now I'm just running it in my garage on a single outlet and have been running dual 750 watt water distillers with it. Once I get the second inverter and a bunch more panels and batteries, I plan on attaching it to my subpanel in my house that has my lights and outlets and appliances on it. Then I'll get a soft start for my AC and blower and run it on my main panel.
