The AIKO-A635-MAE72Mw solar panel converts sunlight into electricity using 144 N-type ABC back-contact monocrystalline cells. Sunlight enters through the 3.2 mm tempered glass and is captured efficiently because there are no front busbars shading the cell surface. The absorbed photons generate charge carriers in the N-type silicon, which are collected at the rear side metal contacts with minimal recombination losses. Electrical power is delivered through the MC4 compatible connectors at a maximum power point of 45.38 V and 14 A under standard test conditions. In real-world conditions, nominal operating cell temperature values are used, which still keep output near 478W at 800 W/m² irradiance. Three integrated bypass diodes in the IP68 junction box reduce the impact of partial shading by allowing current to flow around shaded cell groups. When multiple modules are connected in series and parallel strings, the system can operate up to 1500V DC while maintaining safe current levels through the 25A series fuse rating.
N-type ABC back-contact cell operation: Each cell uses N-type silicon with all electrical contacts positioned on the rear surface.
