How It Works

This Bluebird Solar BBS24MC480 module converts sunlight into usable DC electricity through high efficiency monocrystalline PERC solar cells. Each of the 132 half-cut cells is wired in an optimized series parallel layout to deliver stable voltage and current at typical operating conditions. When sunlight hits the front glass, photons are absorbed in the silicon cells and release electrons which flow as electric current through the multi-busbar grid. The panel outputs up to 480 Wp at a maximum power voltage of 37.78 V and current of 12.71 A, which is then fed into a compatible solar inverter. The inverter converts the DC energy into AC power for household or commercial loads or export to the grid. Temperature coefficients have been carefully engineered so that the module maintains reliable performance in hot climates.

Mono PERC half-cut cell generation: Monocrystalline PERC cells use a passivated rear surface to capture more light and improve conversion efficiency. Half-cut cell design divides each cell into two parts, which reduces current in each path and therefore lowers resistive losses. This configuration improves energy yield, especially under high irradiance and in long string layouts.

Optimized electrical output and protection: At standard test conditions, the panel delivers 480 Wp with 37.78 V at maximum power and 44.95 V open circuit. Did a little online research and followed the instructions and it got set up without any issues.
