How It Works

This DS New Energy 385 PERC monocrystalline solar panel converts sunlight into usable direct current power. Individual monocrystalline silicon cells capture photons and release electrons to form an electric current. These cells are wired in a 72 cell series configuration to raise voltage for efficient string design. At standard test conditions the module delivers 385 Wp at 39.9 V and 9.65 A at its maximum power point. The current then flows through the integrated junction box and cables into an inverter or charge controller. There the direct current is converted into alternating current power or controlled for battery charging. Temperature coefficients and bypass diodes help performance remain more stable during shading and heat. Over time the panel is designed to degrade slowly, supporting long term energy production on site.

Light absorption and DC generation: Monocrystalline PERC cells absorb incoming sunlight and enhance rear side light capture. Electrons move through the cell layers and create direct current power under irradiance.

This is the first stage of my three planned purches. I got the eg4 inverter 6000 XP base kit with six 400 watt panels and the two server rack batteries. Did a little online research and followed the instructions and it got set up without any issues. Right now I'm just running it in my garage on a single outlet and have been running dual 750 watt water distillers with it. Once I get the second inverter and a bunch more panels and batteries, I plan on attaching it to my subpanel in my house that has my lights and outlets and appliances on it. Then I'll get a soft start for my AC and blower and run it on my main panel.
