The Ekarat EE1140 140W monocrystalline solar panel is designed for dependable off‑grid and grid‑connected power where space and reliability matter. This compact 36‑cell module delivers a rated output of 140 watts, with module efficiency above 14 percent for strong performance in real‑world conditions. Its monocrystalline cell technology provides stable energy production for solar home systems, rural electrification, telecommunication stations, battery charging and small rooftop arrays. This monocrystalline 140W solar panel converts sunlight into DC electricity using high quality silicon solar cells. When sunlight hits the 36 cells, photons are absorbed and released as electrical energy, creating current that flows through the panel’s busbars and cables. The module is typically connected to a charge controller for battery‑based systems, or to a solar inverter for grid‑connected installations. In off‑grid setups, the controller protects the battery while storing energy for use when the sun is not available. In grid systems, the inverter synchronises the power with the utility network. The EE1140 panel works as a modular building block, so several modules can be wired together to reach the desired array voltage and power level for each project.
Monocrystalline energy conversion: Each of the 36 monocrystalline cells forms a p‑n junction that generates direct current when illuminated. The superior cell design delivers stable voltage, with 17.84 V at maximum power under standard test conditions. Current at maximum power of 7.85 A provides a strong output for 12V battery charging and small inverters.
Module protection and durability: Low iron tempered glass with 3.2 mm thickness protects the cells while allowing high light transmission. EVA encapsulation bonds the cells to the front glass and back sheet, sealing them from moisture and mechanical stress. The anodized aluminium frame adds rigidity and simplifies mounting on roofs, poles or ground structures.
Safe power delivery and system integration: An IP65 junction box keeps electrical connections protected from dust and water in outdoor environments. Pre‑configured bypass diodes minimise power loss during partial shading by allowing current to flow around shaded cell strings. Cables with 4 mm² cross section and standard length simplify series or parallel connections within larger solar arrays.
