This HD Solar HD-66HPH-420M polycrystalline half-cell module converts sunlight into direct current electricity through its 132 interconnected cells. Incident light strikes the polycrystalline silicon wafers and frees electrons within the semiconductor material. An internal electric field drives these electrons into an external circuit, creating usable current for inverters and DC loads. At the module level, maximum power is delivered at 38.4 V and 10.94 A for the higher output configuration. The panel is wired for optimal current flow, allowing the two half-cell sections to operate efficiently while limiting resistive losses. A weather-sealed junction box routes the generated DC power through 4 mm² solar cable to the system inverter or charge controller. Throughout operation, the panel continues to produce energy within its specified temperature range, while temperature coefficients guide expected output changes.
Photovoltaic energy conversion: Polycrystalline silicon cells absorb solar radiation and generate electron flow inside each wafer. The 0 to +3% power tolerance ensures that real output meets or exceeds the rated power under test conditions.
