When solar irradiance hits the cell surface, electrons become energized and flow as current through the module circuitry. At Standard Test Conditions the HD-66HPH-425M delivers a maximum power output of 425 W at 38.6 V and 11.02 A. The generated DC power is routed through the junction box and solar cables to a compatible inverter or charge controller. An inverter normally converts the DC electricity into alternating current for on grid or off grid applications. System designers can wire multiple panels in series or parallel strings within the 1500 V system limit. Temperature coefficients for power, voltage and current help predict performance under different ambient temperatures.
