How It Works
This HGT445-72BB solar panel converts sunlight into direct current electricity using high efficiency monocrystalline bifacial PERC cells. Light striking the front glass is absorbed by the silicon cells and converted into electrical energy. Reflected light reaching the rear side can also be harvested, increasing the effective energy yield per module. At standard test conditions the panel produces a maximum power of 445 W with a voltage at maximum power of 41 V. Current at maximum power reaches 10.86 A, which then flows through the junction box and cables to the system inverter. The inverter converts the direct current into alternating current suitable for site loads or grid export. Temperature coefficients are optimized so that output decreases only moderately as cell temperature rises. The durable frame, glass, and encapsulation protect the cells against moisture, dust, and mechanical stress over decades of service.
Bifacial PERC cell operation: Each 166×83 mm cell uses passivated emitter and rear cell technology to enhance light absorption. The PERC structure improves internal reflection and boosts conversion efficiency.
Front and rear side energy capture: The front side operates like a conventional module, capturing direct and diffuse sunlight. The rear side uses bifacial design to capture reflected light from surfaces such as concrete, white membranes, or light gravel.
Electrical output and system connection: Electric current generated by the cells flows through three bypass diodes in the IP68 junction box. Factory fitted cables and connectors route power to string wiring, then onward to the inverter and protection devices.
