How It Works

The HGT450-72BB bifacial PERC monocrystalline solar panel converts sunlight into usable DC power through advanced cell architecture. Front side irradiance is absorbed by high quality monocrystalline cells arranged in a 144 half cell layout. At the same time, the rear side of the module can utilize reflected light from the ground or mounting surface to generate additional current. Under standard test conditions the module provides 450 Wp of power, while nominal operating cell temperature ratings describe typical field output levels. Generated DC power flows through low resistance busbars and internal wiring to an IP68 rated junction box. From there, MC4 compatible connectors deliver current to string cabling and onward to an inverter or charge controller. Thermal characteristics, including a Pmax temperature coefficient of -0.35 percent per degree Celsius, help maintain predictable performance across a wide temperature range. The panel is specified for operation from minus 40 to plus 85 degrees Celsius, supporting installations in diverse climates. When installed correctly on suitable mounting systems, the module provides stable energy generation for decades. This stable output helps lower the levelized cost of energy across the project lifetime.

Bifacial PERC cell operation: PERC technology introduces a passivated rear surface that improves light capture and carrier collection. Temperature coefficients for Pmax, Voc and Isc ensure predictable performance modelling across seasonal variations. The tempered glass, aluminium frame and IP68 junction box protect active components against moisture and dust ingress. As a result, the electrical characteristics remain stable when the panel is installed in harsh outdoor environments.
