This monocrystalline solar panel converts sunlight into usable direct current electricity using sixty precision cut silicon cells. Each cell is manufactured from a single crystal structure to promote efficient electron flow and reduce internal resistance. When sunlight reaches the anti reflective tempered glass surface, more light is transmitted into the silicon instead of bouncing away. The photons free electrons inside each cell, creating a direct current that flows through the interconnected 60 cell circuit. This current is collected at the junction box and then routed through cables to an inverter or charge controller. At the inverter stage, the direct current is converted into alternating current suitable for household loads or grid export. The panel is designed to deliver its maximum rated power at specific voltage and current values, which are used by system designers when configuring string sizes and inverter inputs. Mounting structures hold the panel at an optimal tilt and orientation so peak irradiance is captured across the day.
Monocrystalline cell operation: The panel uses monocrystalline silicon cells sized at 156.75 by 156.75 millimetres. Each cell is doped to create a P N junction that separates charge when exposed to sunlight. These cells are wired in series to reach the required operating voltage, then encapsulated to protect against moisture and mechanical stress.
Power and voltage management: At standard test conditions, the 310 Wp configuration delivers a voltage at maximum power of 33 volts and a current at maximum power of 9.4 amps. Open circuit voltage reaches 40.5 volts, while short circuit current is 9.92 amps. The secondary 231 Wp configuration operates with a 31 volt maximum power voltage and 7.49 amp current, with corresponding open and short circuit values.
Thermal and environmental behaviour: During operation, cell temperatures typically rise above ambient temperatures and can reach around 45 degrees plus or minus 2 degrees Celsius. The temperature coefficients of power, voltage, and current describe how output shifts as temperatures change. A negative coefficient for power and voltage means output reduces slightly as the panel warms, while a small positive coefficient for current slightly offsets that effect.
