How It Works
This Jolywood 515W solar panel converts sunlight into clean DC electricity using advanced n-type TOPCon monocrystalline cells arranged in a 120 half-cell layout. Light striking the front glass is absorbed by the high efficiency n-type cells, which generate electrical current with minimal resistive losses. At the same time, the bifacial architecture allows the rear side of the module to harvest light reflected from the ground, roofs, or surrounding surfaces, boosting the total energy yield. Dual-glass glazing protects the cells on both sides, while the anodized aluminium frame maintains structural stability. The generated DC power is sent through the IP68 junction box and 4 mm² cables toward a compatible inverter, where it is converted into AC electricity for on-site consumption or export to the grid. Optimized temperature coefficients and a favorable nominal operating temperature help sustain strong performance during hot conditions, enabling reliable output across seasons and installation types.
N-type TOPCon cell architecture: The panel uses n-type TOPCon cells that exhibit inherently low degradation and improved carrier lifetime compared with conventional p-type cells. This structure minimizes light induced degradation and supports higher efficiency, so more sunlight is converted into electricity over the entire operating life.
Bifacial dual-glass energy capture: Front and rear glass layers encapsulate the cells and allow light to reach both sides of the module. The rear side converts reflected and diffuse light into additional power, which can deliver 10 to 30 percent extra generation depending on site albedo and installation geometry.
Optimized performance under real conditions: The panel’s low temperature coefficient of minus 0.28 percent per degree Celsius helps limit power loss when module temperatures rise. Stable voltage and current at maximum power enable inverters and system designers to achieve efficient string configurations across a wide range of climates.
Reliable power delivery and protection: Three integrated bypass diodes in the IP68 junction box help reduce the impact of partial shading on power output. Quality sealing, robust connectors, and a 30 amp series fuse rating support safe, consistent operation within systems up to 1500 volts DC.
