How It Works

The Maxeon SPR-MAX3-355-BLK converts sunlight into usable DC electricity using high efficiency back contact monocrystalline cells arranged in a 104 cell layout. Sunlight passes through the high transmission tempered glass with anti reflection coating and strikes the solar cells, where photons are converted into electrical energy through the photovoltaic effect. Because all current carrying connectors sit on the rear of the cell, the front side remains highly active and less shaded, which helps increase energy yield. The generated DC power is collected in the IP68 junction box with three bypass diodes and then routed through MC4 connectors along 1200 mm DC cables to your system inverter. The inverter converts this DC electricity into AC power that can support household loads or be exported to the grid, depending on the system design and local regulations.

Back contact cell architecture: Each Maxeon cell uses a solid metal foundation on the rear side that collects current, replaces traditional front busbars, and protects against cracking and corrosion under mechanical and thermal stress.

Did a little online research and followed the instructions and it got set up without any issues. Right now I'm just running it in my garage on a single outlet and have been running dual 750 watt water distillers with it.
