This residential solar panel converts sunlight into usable DC electricity using advanced Maxeon back contact cell technology and high efficiency monocrystalline silicon. Sunlight strikes the anti reflective tempered glass and passes into the 104 monocrystalline cells, where photons release electrons and generate electrical current. The unique back contact design relocates all current carrying metal to the rear of each cell, so the front surface remains highly active and free of shading from busbars. This structure increases light capture and improves resistance to cracking and corrosion over time. Generated DC power flows through the internal cell interconnections to the IP68 rated junction box and MC4 connectors, then into the external wiring and inverter. The inverter converts DC power to AC electricity that can be used in the home, exported to the grid, or stored in compatible battery systems. The low temperature coefficient and engineered cell layout help stabilise output during hot weather, while the robust frame and glass ensure mechanical strength under wind and snow loading on the roof.
Back contact cell architecture: All conductive pathways are positioned on the rear of the cell, which removes front side busbar shading and increases the active light capturing area. This improves conversion efficiency and supports higher power output within the same footprint compared to many conventional front contact modules.
