How It Works
The Motech XS60CH-470 solar panel converts sunlight into usable electrical power through high efficiency PERC monocrystalline cells. Each panel contains 120 half cut solar cells that are wired to optimize current and reduce resistive losses across the module surface. When sunlight strikes the anti reflection coated glass, more light enters the cell structure and is absorbed rather than reflected. The absorbed light excites electrons in the silicon, creating direct current that flows through the internal busbars and cables. This direct current then passes to a compatible inverter, where it is converted into alternating current that can power loads or feed the grid. Optimized operating voltage and current points allow the module to deliver maximum power under standard test conditions and real world irradiance. Temperature coefficients are carefully managed so that performance remains stable on warm days, supporting consistent energy generation throughout the year.
PERC monocrystalline cell operation: Passivated emitter and rear cell technology adds a reflective layer on the rear of each cell to capture more photons. This design allows unabsorbed light to reflect back through the cell, increasing the chance of conversion into electrical energy and improving panel efficiency.
