How It Works

The Navitas Solar NS 260 panel converts sunlight into usable electrical power through its 60 multicrystalline cells. Each cell generates direct current when exposed to solar radiation, and the panel wiring combines this power to achieve a 260 Wp output under standard conditions. At maximum power, the module operates around 30.9 volts and 8.41 amps, which suits common grid tie inverters and charge controllers. The anti reflection coated glass improves light capture so more photons reach the cells rather than bouncing away. Electrical losses are minimized through careful cell binning and a positive power tolerance from zero to plus two percent. During operation, temperature impacts are controlled by optimized temperature coefficients that limit power drop as the module heats up. The panel is mounted on a support structure and connected in series or parallel strings to build the required system voltage and current. These strings feed an inverter or DC combiner that manages energy flow to the grid, batteries, or on site loads.

Photovoltaic Energy Conversion: Multicrystalline cells use the photovoltaic effect to convert sunlight into direct current electricity efficiently. When photons strike the silicon lattice, electrons are released and guided through busbars to create a steady DC output.
