How It Works
The Navitas Solar NS 265 converts sunlight into clean DC electricity using proven polycrystalline technology. Inside the module, sixty multicrystalline solar cells are wired in series to build the working voltage. When sunlight strikes the cells, photons transfer energy to electrons within the silicon structure. This energy release creates an electric current that is captured by the module busbars and output cables. At Standard Test Conditions, the NS 265 delivers 265 Wp power with a Vmpp of 31.1 V and Impp of 8.52 A. In real world operation at NOCT, the module provides around 195.63 Wp with lower operating voltage and current. The panel is then connected to a compatible solar inverter, charge controller, or hybrid system input. The inverter converts the DC power to AC electricity for home loads or export to the utility grid. Over time, the module continues to generate power with a controlled degradation rate of about 0.8% per year. High quality glass, encapsulation, and an IP68 junction box help maintain stable performance and safety.
Energy capture by multicrystalline cells: Each polycrystalline cell is made from multicrystalline silicon that absorbs a broad sunlight spectrum. The large 60 cell layout increases the active area to harvest more photons during each daylight hour.
DC power generation and flow: The cells are interconnected with five busbars that collect the generated current efficiently. This DC output flows through factory fitted cables to the inverter or charge controller for further conversion.
Thermal and low light performance: The module is designed for good performance at elevated temperatures with a Pmax coefficient of -0.38% per °C. Improved low light response and anti reflection coated glass enhance generation on cloudy days and early mornings.
