This half-cell module offers up to 21.1% panel efficiency for reliable energy yield on limited roof or ground space. A robust 1500 V DC system rating supports modern string designs with longer strings and reduced balance of system costs. The module uses premium tempered glass with anti-reflection coating to improve light capture and surface durability. Its anodized aluminium frame and IP68 junction box help ensure long term protection in harsh outdoor conditions. With a 12 year product warranty and a 25 year performance warranty, long term output is backed and bankable. The panel is produced by Ningbo Kanglite Electronics Co., Ltd. under the QSOLAR brand in China for global deployment. The QSOLAR QS505-150HM12 505W monocrystalline solar panel converts sunlight into usable DC electricity. Each monocrystalline half cell absorbs photons and releases electrons within the silicon structure. These electrons are directed through the cell busbars and connected in a series and parallel layout. The wiring inside the module combines voltage and current to reach 43 V at maximum power under STC. From the junction box, power flows through 4 mm² solar cables and MC4 connectors to the inverter. The inverter converts the DC electricity into AC power for on site loads or grid export. Under real world NOCT conditions, the panel delivers 382 W at 40.6 V and 9.43 A. Optimised materials and coatings help maintain performance over decades of outdoor exposure. System designers can connect many modules in series and parallel strings to achieve the target array size. Once installed correctly, the panel operates automatically whenever sufficient solar irradiance is available.
Monocrystalline half cell generation: High quality 210 mm monocrystalline cells are cut into halves to reduce electrical resistance. This layout improves current handling and helps lower operating temperature while sustaining output.
