Rated at 580W under standard test conditions, this module suits commercial, industrial, and utility arrays seeking high density power. The maximum system voltage of 1500V allows longer strings, which can reduce balance of system costs and simplify design. A robust anodized aluminium frame, 3.2mm tempered glass with anti reflection coating, and a transparent backsheet are combined to withstand demanding site conditions. This S-Energy SL65-78BGJ-580S bifacial monocrystalline solar panel converts sunlight into DC electricity using high efficiency silicon cells. Photons strike the front and rear surfaces of the bifacial cells, releasing electrons that flow through the circuit to your inverter. The rated maximum power of 580W is achieved at 45.2V and 12.84A under standard test conditions. When mounted above reflective ground or bright roofing, the rear side also receives usable irradiance. That extra light increases the effective energy yield beyond the front side rating.
The panel operates reliably within a temperature range from -40°C to 85°C, with a nominal operating cell temperature of 45±2°C. As cell temperature rises, output is reduced by the specified temperature coefficients, which are -0.35% per °C for Pmax and -0.27% per °C for Voc. Correct string sizing and inverter matching help maintain safe operating conditions and maximize harvest. Integrated junction boxes, bypass diodes, and MC4 compatible connectors support efficient current flow and reduce mismatch losses in shaded or uneven conditions.
Front side power generation: The front surface uses 156 bifacial monocrystalline cells sized 182 x 91mm to capture direct sunlight efficiently. Under 1,000W/m² irradiance at 25°C cell temperature, the module delivers 580W at 45.2V and 12.84A for strong base production.
Rear side bifacial gain: The transparent backsheet allows light to reach the rear cell surfaces, generating additional current. Depending on site albedo and mounting height, total power can increase beyond the front side rating, improving kWh per installed watt.
System integration and protection: The panel connects into strings up to 1500V using MC4 type connectors and 4mm² cables. Bypass diodes in the IP68 junction box help protect cells from hot spots and maintain output when partial shading occurs across the array.
