This advanced module uses 156 bifacial monocrystalline cells and achieves up to 21.3% front-side efficiency for excellent energy yields in limited space. Its bifacial design enables additional rear-side generation, increasing overall output when installed over bright or reflective surfaces. A robust anodized aluminium frame, tempered glass with anti-reflection coating, and IP68 junction box support reliable operation in harsh outdoor environments. The S-Energy SL65-78BGJ-595S bifacial monocrystalline solar panel converts sunlight into direct current power using high-efficiency crystalline cells. Light striking the front glass is absorbed by the monocrystalline cells, which generate electrical current according to the photovoltaic effect. Rear-side glass and a transparent backsheet also enable additional light capture from ground albedo, nearby surfaces, or diffuse sky radiation. The resulting current flows through the integrated busbars, bypass diodes, and IP68 junction box, then exits via MC4-compatible connectors for connection to string inverters or DC optimizers. System designers can combine multiple modules in series and parallel strings while respecting the 1500 V maximum system voltage and 30 A series fuse rating.
Front-side power generation: Under standard test conditions, the module delivers 595 W at a voltage of 46.0 V and current of 12.94 A. The optimized cell layout and low-resistance interconnections help limit power losses and support stable performance in high irradiance environments.
Rear-side bifacial gain: The bifacial architecture enables additional output under BSTC rear-irradiance conditions, where the 595 W module can reach around 625 W. This is achieved by allowing light to reach the rear cell surfaces through the transparent backsheet, increasing total energy generation over the year.
Thermal and electrical stability: The module operates from -40°C to +85°C with a nominal operating cell temperature of 45±2°C. Temperature coefficients of -0.35%/°C for Pmax and -0.27%/°C for Voc limit performance losses on hot days, while a positive 0.04%/°C coefficient for Isc supports consistent current production.
