How It Works
This SEG Solar bifacial TOPCon module converts sunlight into clean DC electricity using advanced N-Type monocrystalline cells. Each cell is designed to minimize electron recombination, so more of the captured light is turned into usable power. The front side of the panel receives direct sunlight while the rear side harvests reflected light from the surrounding environment. This bifacial effect can increase total energy generation compared to a standard monofacial module. The half cell layout reduces resistive losses and helps mitigate the impact of partial shading on output. Double glass construction protects the cells from moisture, mechanical stress, and environmental pollutants. The generated DC current flows through the integrated junction box and MC4 compatible connectors to the system inverter. The inverter converts DC power into AC power for homes, businesses, or grid export. Stable performance is maintained over a broad temperature range thanks to optimized temperature coefficients and high quality materials. Over the lifetime of the system, this design supports reliable daily production and strong project economics.
N-Type TOPCon cell conversion: Photons strike the N-Type monocrystalline TOPCon cells and free electrons are generated within the silicon structure. These electrons are guided by the cell’s passivated contacts and busbars, producing a stable DC current with reduced internal losses over time.
Bifacial energy capture: The front glass absorbs direct solar irradiance while the rear glass collects light reflected from roofs, ground, or nearby surfaces. This rear side contribution increases daily yield, especially on light colored or high albedo surfaces, boosting the overall system performance ratio.
System integration and output: Current from the half cell strings is combined in the IP68 junction box, which uses three bypass diodes to improve behavior under partial shading. MC4 compatible connectors link the module to string cabling, which is then routed to an inverter that converts DC to AC power for on site consumption or export.
